Warbastion Domination Tournament!

Postby Anarkhia » Tue Apr 28, 2015 6:52 pm

Location: Regimental Hall (Old Parcel Post), Line Wall Road
Date: Sunday 7th June 2015
Opening Times: TBC
Entry Fee: £12.00

Tournament Details

Maximum 20 players

Army Composition
1. Each player has 1250 points to create an army list following the normal rules with the following exceptions:
(i) Lords of war, super heavy vehicles, gargantuan creatures are not allowed. Lord of War characters (e.g. Draigo, Avatar) are allowed. If you are unsure about your model, please comment.
(ii) Weapons with a profile "D" are automatically S10 Ap1. Eldar D Scythes are S4 for the purposes of working out instant death and always wounds on 3+. Against vehicles they are S10.
(iii) Unbound armies are not allowed
(iv) Saving throw rerolls are limited to 4+ or worse. If you have a better saving throw reroll, automatically reduce the save to a 4+.

(2) Armies MUST be fully assembled, painted and based.

(3) Models must accurately represent their unit type (e.g. you can not use space marine rhinos represented as predators). Wargear does not need to be WYSIWYG, but it is recommended and encouraged. Armies that are WYSIWYG would add minor points, which could edge you above an opponent in the case of a tie break once all games have been totaled.

Scoring

Scenarios
Scenarios will each consist of 3 objectives, a primary, secondary and tertiary objective. Points are as follows:
Primary Objective: 14vp
Secondary Objective: 7vp
Tertiary Objective: 4vp
First blood, Linebreaker & Slay the Warlord: 1vp each

Mysterious objectives will not be used.

Missions and deployment are as follows:

In order to gain the kill points objective you must have at least 3 or more kill points over your opponent.

Table quarters is worked out using the following. You gain a quadrant if you have more points worth of units per quarter (using the cost of the whole unit, regardless of how many have been killed). If a unit is over more than one quarter, use the quarter which has the majority of the models on it from that unit. In the case of a draw you randomly determine with a roll off.

If you draw on an objective, neither of you gain any of the points for that you objective.

OK William and Aaron, as we are expecting players with a decent knowledge of the rules to enter, we will be requiring that you pass a little random rules questionnaire sometime later this month. Is that OK with you guys?

You will also need to be able to communicate with our Spanish players in a manner that you can both understand each other. If you don't think you will be able to communicate to them in Spanish we ask that you invite someone over who will be able to help translate for you during your games.
